Well done to all the classes for working hard with their artwork this term, the school is looking very colourful with all your wonderful creativity.

Autumn term 2009

Year 3 started the year linking their geography topic 'Looking at Earth from Space' with the art topic 'Investigating pattern'. The result was some fantastic paintings being produced after looking at satellite images. Year 4 started by producing some excellent Tudor portraits, linking to their History topic. The Autumn term continued with both years 3 and 4 producing some fantastic work as they investigated different types of pattern.

Years 5 and 6 linked their History topic 'The Ancient Greeks' with the art topic 'People in Action'  and designed greek pots showing images, either inspired by the ancient Greek Olympic games, or what they had learnt about the ancient Greeks and how they lived. The topic 'People in Action' continued throughout the Autumn term.  Years 5 and 6 tried their hand at cartoon drawing depicting different expressions, 1 minute poses, 3D clay modelling, and using co-ordinates to produce a very good likeness of Mr Bean.

Spring term 2010

This term Years 3 and 4 will be looking at Portraits and Portraying relationships, using  different techniques and styles to create their own portraits.  The art topic for years 5 and 6 is what a performance, starting with Mardi Gras masks.

Look out for photos coming soon!
